Amelia CrollSubmitted by thedoctor on Mon, 05/09/2005 - 10:06am. ![]() Amelia began her training in Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu with Sensei Andy Dobie while attending Trent University. She trained from Sept. 1997 to April 1999. Amelia then moved back to Ottawa and continued to train at the YMCA club as well as at the Carleton University Jiu Jitsu Club. Amelia earned her black belt in Sept. 2004, during a grading held by the late Shihan Brian Graham, head of style. Her Jitsu teaching career began as assistant instructor at Carleton University's Jiu Jitsu Club, under the leadership of Sensei Kieran Parsons. Then, in January 2003, she assumed the role of Club Instructor. She instructed the Carleton University Club until April 2005. Amelia lives in Ottawa with her husband and works as a teacher at a high school for high-risk teenagers. Her other interests/hobbies include soccer and naturopathic medicine. Categories:
